Fort Canning’s rich material and natural heritage, makes it a great site to begin exploring Singapore’s precolonial history and maritime story.

TALES OF OUR FOREFATHERS
The history of Chinatown is fascinating, even more so when told through a time traveller from 1890. Meet “Ah Gu”, a Chinese coolie who arrived in Singapore and made a life here.
