One-north was planned by JTC as a research and business hub for Singapore’s knowledge economy. Its precincts bring together biomedical science, technology, media, engineering, start-ups and education. Biopolis supports biomedical research, Fusionopolis focuses on science and technology, and Mediapolis serves the media ecosystem.
Parks and conserved buildings in areas such as Wessex add greenery and historical texture. The district’s work-live-play-learn model is designed to encourage collaboration between companies, researchers, students and entrepreneurs. Biopolis adds another layer to the story.
